while calling intelligence machines the name of an intelligence we are defining what it means to be intelligent and what the creator values most as intelligence. While perhaps we should be dealing in specificities or naming it an intelligent (for a) machine. This might already be the way it is perceived. But the simple values an outlooker can see is: learning quickly, being able to complete the tasks as someone else has set them quickly and efficiently. What is artificial intelligence telling us about what we value? (ultimately we are showing how the creators of these AIs are dictating what it should do) -understandably because of a specific goal (toothpaste factory, etc). Then, how does that make the people who did that job feel? Like being good at your job is someone else's good- how does that reflect in the rest of their lives?
ultimately i think that all jobs that can should be replaced by artificial intelligence and hopefully that would open up a lot more jobs that don't feel as repetitive or allow people to do more of what they want hopefully ultimately devaluing money if the artificial intelligences were also self maintaining- but maybe I'm just a joe-job-money hater and am too idealistic.
