cleanliness of anti-memories: when thinking about memories there's something about them that feel very vague and then putting them into words (or other forms) they can come out as only a segment of what actually happened. There's always something lost when documenting or re-iterating a memory like a feeling or the siren you could hear out the window that didn't come through in the writing. There's this feeling of repetition and subtraction that you can come to the essence of something without actually describing every part. Unless you are the one going through the process of subtraction it can look bear and like no work has been put in. But there's something so beautiful and full (and also modern-feeling??) about simplicity and minimalism presented. ALSO thinking about celebrity as a kid of anti-memory presentation.
cleanliness of memory is soooo interesting. what does it mean to show a 'complete' memory? what is a complete memory? how does a memory get preserved, sustained, passed on?
